According to TechCrunch, a person spends an average of more than 50 minutes a day using Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
What does this mean for your business?
It’s time for you to have a, “come to Jesus” moment with yourself. Facebook is not outdated. Social Media is not going away. If you haven’t already embraced it, you’re gravely behind the curve. If the average person is spending more than 50 minutes per day on social media, there is a high probability that they can come across your product or service. I say, “can”, because it is probable, but not always likely. Why, you ask?
You’re missing strategy. The key is placing yourself in front of your audience at the right time and in the right place. Think about it this way: if you have 5000 followers on Facebook or Instagram (or both) and 24 hours in each day, that’s on average 208 of your followers on social media each hour of the day. That means every hour you have 208 opportunities to promote and sell your product or service! Let’s say your product or service is only $1. You have the potential to make $208 per hour. Or, your product is $100 and you reach 10% of your audience, 20 users. Out of the 20 only 1% buys in. That’s still $200 per hour. Either way, you can win!
