Why Hosting LIVE Events Add VALUE to your BRAND

If you follow me on social media (I sure hope you do) you probably saw my partner and Jasmine and I (Moms As Entrepreneurs) share images and Periscopes of the Baby Bash and Bling event in DC hosted by Monica Byrd. The event was amazing and we had an awesome time. From the interactive workshops to the “Bump the Runway” fashion show the event was a super success.

I met Monica Byrd earlier this year and was truly amazed by her work. Monica is very well known for putting on AMAZING events around the United States. Monica has accomplished so much and is a very successful entrepreneur.

What I realize in business is that many entrepreneurs do not understand the value of a live event for their brand. When I first launch my business having a live event was a priority. I knew that people needed to see me live and not behind words or pictures. In order for them to fully buy into by brand they needed to connect with me on a personal level. Yes I have video footage they can see and connect with but it’s nothing like connecting face to face. Putting on my first live event added so much value to my brand it was scary.

Those that attended said they loved the energy in the room and not only were they able to connect with me or learn from me, but they were able to connect with others in the room. This is huge because connecting with you is great but when they realize that others in the room can help them or they can help others you just increased everyone’s’ bottom line. A lot of what you do in business is not what someone can do for you but what can you do for them. Putting people in a room where they are pretty much forced to network is a win-win for EVERYONE.

Three MAJOR ways that hosting a LIVE event add value to your brand are:

  1. Increasing your bottom line buy having the ability to sell products or service at the event or after the event;

At your live events you should have your “MILLION DOLLAR” product or service to sell. The goal of the event is for people to want more than then what you provided at the live event. They need to be able to effectively go home and use the information you went over or need other products you have.

  1. Helping you build relationships with other key partners to help you put on the event (sponsors, media experts etc). These partners can increase your visibility and bottom line;

Remember helping others help you. When those guests see the increase in their business they will always remember how it happens and be reminded of YOUR event! That reminder will turn into word of mouth marketing and just like magic you have a bunch of walking FREE billboards.

  1. Helping you become “known” as the expert in your industry.

Whatever industry you are in there is a way for you to leverage your expertise to help others by hosting an event. Once you are able to effectively teach others in your industry you will be known as the “EXPERT.”
